With approximately 140,000 Washingtonians, the 5th Legislative District (LD) includes:
- both suburban and rural areas of East King County
- the cities of Black Diamond, Maple Valley and Snoqualmie; most of Issaquah; portions of Sammamish, Renton, and North Bend
- areas of unincorporated King County, including precincts in Auburn, Black Diamond, Enumclaw, Fall City, Hobart, Issaquah, Kent, Maple Valley, North Bend, Preston, Ravensdale, Renton, and Snoqualmie
