Sammamish resident Rituja Indapure appointed to Washington State Women’s Commission!

Sammamish, WA – Rituja Indapure, a public school parent, tech industry professional and local volunteer, was appointed to Washington’s new Women’s Commission by Gov. Jay Inslee.

The commission was created by HB 2759 and held its first meeting on October 17th, with Governor Inslee and First Lady Trudi Inslee in attendance. The Commission will focus on solutions to address inequality for women in the workplace and in the community.

“I’m humbled and honored to be selected to represent the women of Washington state. From finding affordable day care, to transportation to workforce housing, women still face obstacles in fully achieving their potential” said Indapure. “Whether its pay equity or serving in boardrooms, I believe it is our responsibility to work together to create an equitable community for all.  I look forward to working with the Women’s Commission in creating policies which benefit our communities in the long run.”

Rituja is a tech industry professional with a Masters Degree in Law from the University of Nottingham. In addition to her professional work, Rituja is a dedicated United Way volunteer, former PTA board member, Speaker for  Humanities Washington, serves on the advisory board of the Sammamish YMCA and is on the Planning Commission for the City of Sammamish.
