SUMMARY:Snoqualmie Days
DESCRIPTION:Connecting with voters and residents around King County matters a lot\, and small-town festivals such as Snoqualmie Days are plenty of fun. Volunteer firefighters first organized this celebration of the Snoqualmie Valley in 1939\, upon the arrival of the town’s first fire truck.  \nThis event comprises Saturday and Sunday\, but booths are open only on Saturday (the same day as the parade).\n• We’re looking for a good-sized crew to walk with us in the parade from 9:30am – noon (or whenever the parade ends).\nWe’ll check in at Riverview Park. The parade will start at the intersection of SE Newton Street and Railroad Avenue (Hwy 202)\, proceed down Railroad Avenue\, and finish at King Street. \n• We’re also looking for four “Booth Buddies” at every timeslot (two hours or less!) between 7:30am and 6:30pm on Saturday.\nChat with folks. Pet their dogs. Talk with voters. Invite kids\, teens\, and adults to spin our Wheel of Fortune\, answer our question correctly\, and win a prize – very popular with festivalgoers this summer! Booths are on “Vendor Row” in the heart of downtown Snoqualmie\, near the Northwest Railway Museum. (See address/map below.) \nSign up here! DESCRIPTION:Black Diamond Labor Days \nWe’ll be in Black Diamond for their Labor Day festival on Sunday\, Aug. 31st and Monday\, Sept. 1st. This year’s theme is: “Shine Like A Diamond”. The south-end of the 5th LD is vital to keeping the 5th Blue\, and we’re looking forward to spending some time in Black Diamond to walk in the Labor Day Parade and talk to voters at our booth. \nBooth Information – We are seeking volunteers to help staff our booth both days for two-hour shifts from 10:00am-4:00pm. Find us on the Black Diamond playfield behind Black Diamond Elementary (BDE). \nParade Information – The parade is on Monday\, Sept. 1 with line-up from 9-9:30am and the parade beginning at 10am. We’ll provide dinner and a chance to visit as we gather before our final push to Election Day. \nEnjoy dinner on us! We’ll provide the makings to build your own burrito or salad. We’ll provide water as well. Bring a dessert to share if you’d like. \nNo official business will take place at this social. Instead\, we will take this opportunity to connect and share how we can help Democrats win up and down the ballot in November. \nNo need to RSVP\, no tickets necessary\, free attendance – we just need you there to make it fun!
